Providence Health & Services Director, Modern Workplace Integration & Interoperability PSJH in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Director, Modern Workplace Integration and Interoperability to our location in Renton WA, Anaheim CA, Portland OR or Beaverton OR.
We are seeking a Director, Modern Workplace Integration and Interoperability to be responsible for the enterprise interoperability and integration strategy and plan for the deployment of the Modern Workplace software stack. The Modern Workplace stack includes all aspects of the Microsoft Modern Workplace stack (O365, E3, E5 Etc.) Server and SQL licensing and technology dynamics as well as the IAM identity and persona capabilities and requirements within the health system.
The strategy and integration plan includes aligning with the Modern Workplace software stack operational owners and becoming an expert of the dependencies in and outside of the software stack. A firm understanding of the various interfaces and data flow capabilities will be critical to the success of this leader.
The Integration and Interoperability activity requires this leader to develop plans and ensure cross functional connectivity with all aspects of the modern workplace stack. The leader will be required to have strong engineering and deployment knowledge with complex systems.
The technologies in scope for Integration and Interoperability includes all identity systems, OnPrem Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Single Sign On, Privileged Accounts, Multi Factor Authentication. Key integration knowledge for O365 E3, E5 etc, will also be critical. Both on premise and Cloud environments are included.
Output of this role is a well-documented and substantiated engineering and operations blueprint that allows for a complete system design for the modern workplace with alignment across the operational owners of all aspects of the stack. This blueprint ownership includes detailed plans for system connections, data flow, setting, configurations, best practices, design guidelines and validation plans for an efficient and end to end Modern Workplace system.
This role works collaboratively with internal IS teams, the Modern Workplace function and external vendors to provide highly available, secure, and reliable infrastructure services.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Expert in the Microsoft Modern Workplace stack including all the the E3, E5 etc licensing. Identity and Access Management best practices. Advanced knowledge of Security policies and procedures, HIPAA compliance, PCI compliance. Skilled at effectively building positive relationships with colleagues, customers and executive leadership and align, cross functionally, to other teams roadmaps, strategies and policies. Serves as Sponsor and/or Owner, as appropriate, for technology projects and initiatives within areas of accountability.
Actively involved with vendor roadmap planning. Spends time to fully understand each component of the stack, its data requirements, interfacer capabilities and interdependence on upstream and down stream tools. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and conduct assessment of fitness to the enterprise strategy.
Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-functional team to deliver a high quality of service within budget and Executive Leadership expectation. Partners with peers from Engineering, Architecture & Strategy, Applications, Modern Workplace and other PSJH teams to optimize production systems to improve the caregivers' experience with PSJH technology.
Maintains currency on information technology in general and accountable disciplines in particular. Continually evaluates the effectiveness of current strategies, technology and standards, recommending enhancements and modifications through established collaboration mechanisms. Attracts, hires, trains, motivates, retains, and develops a team of first-rate professionals to perform the responsibilities of the various communications functions.
Working with IS leaders across PSJH, defines service models and reporting mechanisms for accountable disciplines as a part of overall PSJH IS service design. Designs, implements, maintains, and operates departmental Service Level Agreements, Operating Level Agreements, and associated KPIs.
Monitors the performance of the accountable disciplines and evaluates the performance of technology services on the basis of specific KPIs.
Leads the development of and monitors compliance with policies and procedures for communications, consistent with overall strategy and standards, throughout PSJH. Develops and negotiates preferred information technology vendor contracts and manages key vendor relationships.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Business Management, or Information Services Or equivalent educ/experience.
At least 8 years of Information Services technical leadership experience in leading IS infrastructure operations teams.
More than 10 years of hands on technical management experience in all Microsoft stack components.
More than 10 years of hands on technical management experience in either IAM or IS Security (or both).
At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft O365.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory & Azure Active Director
Advanced proficiency in SSO
Advanced proficiency in SailPoint Identity
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Azure
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft O365 Stack
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Information Services and Coursework/Training in ITIL/ITSM.
