Providence Health & Services Compliance Specialist in Beaverton, Oregon
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Compliance Specialist PSJH to our Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR.
We are seeking a Compliance Specialist PSJH to provide compliance program support to management across Providence St. Joseph Health and its Affiliates in furtherance of our mission and to provide an effective compliance program. A Compliance Specialist is expected to possess mid-level skills in investigative and research techniques and practices, while developing greater expertise in certain regulatory and compliance topics. This position works with highly sensitive information.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Perform assigned investigations and compliance projects following RIS practice standards while keeping management well apprised of results and completion status.
Partner with senior leaders to assess risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Dissiminiate policies, act as subject matter experts for concerns, and provide ongoing education.
Participate, under the direction of a senior or manager, on large, complex, multi-location or system-wide projects or investigations, including work being performed under the direction of legal counsel.
Act as technical resource within RIS for select regional or PSMS functions/activities. Answer questions, analyzes data, conducts research, conducts interviews and makes recommendations to address compliance and privacy matters.
Analyze, under the direction of a senior or manager, investigative results and draft recommendations that will improve controls and mitigate risk to the organization.
Monitor assigned open recommendations working closely with client management to assure action plans are completed and risk is mitigated in a timely manner.
Provide input to educational and other program documentation.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree - Healthcare, business administration, accounting, finance, management information systems related fields of study – OR - equivalent educ/experience.
3 years’ progressive compliance experience replace with Health Information Management, Accreditation Services, or Revenue Cycle Services
