Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Business Systems Analyst - 3 to our location in Beaverton, OR.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing a comprehensive cost/benefit analysis. Assists with Creation of a comprehensive project charter template for proposed projects, demonstrated by completing a standard PHS IS project timeline template for proposed projects.

  • Produces clear, concise, and meaningful project status reports, demonstrated by producing relevant status reports on time and with use of standard PHS IS reporting mechanisms and tools.

  • Orchestrates a project involving multiple IS departments, demonstrated by Executing work plan involving resource responsibility by multiple departments.

  • Identifies resources outside of area of influence.

  • Orchestrates multiple teams as demonstrated by providing coordination for resolving issues across multiple teams or departments

  • Understands the procedures and work flow of customer user applications that are supported as demonstrated by Timely communication of issues related to downtimes and application problems.

  • Facilitating resolution of problems that require multi-disciplinary technical skills.

  • Experience or acquired knowledge of the customers’ business (operational area supported) in a healthcare Industry setting is required.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor degree and 4 years industry related experience OR Associate degree and 6 years of industry related experience OR 8 years of industry related experience.

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of multiple Facets subsystems (i.e., Claims, Membership, Benefit, etc.)

  • Experience managing multiple projects.

  • Experience making presentations.

  • Ability to take leadership role in addressing system related issues.

  • Experience with network operating systems.

  • Experience with communication and interface protocols.

  • Experience providing leadership, guidance and assistance.

  • Advanced understanding of supported applications and their interaction with interdependent systems.

  • In depth knowledge of the interaction/integration/effect on interfaced systems and a basic understanding of impact to/from external systems (i.e., vendors, banks, government agencies, etc.).

  • Developing knowledge of the variety of tools used by Information Services to monitor and troubleshoot application and network issues.

  • Demonstrates enhanced written communication skills.

  • Effective communication to facilitate meetings and perform presentations to senior regional management, vendors, staff, managers and customers.

  • Conflict management and negotiation skills effectively.

  • Experience with Personal computer and associated peripheral computer equipment. Other office equipment as necessary.
