Providence Health & Services RN - Interventional MRI in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse to work in our MRI department at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. The RN will also be utilized in the other imaging areas: CT, General Radiography, and Ultrasound.
This position will work Monday - Friday. The hours of the department are 7:30AM - 6:00PM. This position will typically work 8 hour days with some 10 hour days as needed. Additionally, this position will share call responsibilities one weekend per month (on average) between the hours of 10:00AM and 2:00PM.
Joining this team means you'll work with a close-knit group of nurses, have access to participation in practice councils and different committees, and become a collaborative member of the imaging team!
In this position, you will:
Be ccountable for direct and indirect quality care for patients according to the individualized needs of the patient.
Be competent to analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process.
Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team in a collegial relationship.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Oregon
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred (for stress tests) or to be completed within 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred or to be completed within 6 months of hire
3-5 years of acute care nursing experience
Moderate sedation credentialing to be completed within 3 months of hire
Experience with electrocardiogram (ECG) tracings and stress tests
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Room (ER) or Post-Anesthesia care Unit (PACU) experience
Moderate sedation experience and pediatric experience
