Providence Health & Services Senior Project Manager- EPIC Applications (IS PMO) in Beaverton, Oregon

Providence is calling a Senior Project Manager- EPIC, to Providence Health & Services in Renton WA, Seattle WA, Portland OR, Beaverton OR Burbank CA OR Torrance CA.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to be accountable for large, diverse and complex projects in the areas of information technology, clinical informatics, physician practice implementations, quality improvement, strategic objectives and goals. Manages all aspects of projects with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor.

In this position you will:

  • Develop projects in alignment with the organizations strategic plans and objectives.

  • Build support to influence decisions in order to ensure work towards common objectives.

  • Manage client expectations from initial problem identification and through the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and gain sponsor approval and signoff of the project charter and work breakdown schedule.

  • Develop root cause analyses and process improvement plans.

  • Maintain all project artifacts.

  • Identify, deliver and document organizational, application and human workflows that contribute to policy and procedure updates throughout each project.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors degree plus seven years experience in information technology, project management, healthcare administration or clinical field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.

  • 8 years experience leading large, diverse and complex projects.

  • Expertise and experience with Project Management methodology based on project management principles.

  • Experience facilitation complex decisions making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interest and priorities is essential.

  • CAP, Workout and Lean education required as soon as available or within in 1st year on the job.

  • Project management Professional designation (PMI) Certification strongly preferred.

  • Skilled in strategic planning, program management, group motivation, discipline and diplomacy.

  • Experience in vendor/contract management and negotiations.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and align with an organization, its structure and priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize work, manage time and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Exercises sound political and environmental judgment as appropriate to support successful project implementation.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessing and mitigating risks through risk planning.

  • Advance leadership skills, with the ability to successfully service as a coach and mentor to others

  • Demonstrated success managing other projects manager, project portfolios and /or multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated experience in business development and /or strategic and tactical planning and execution including marketing, communications and financial planning.

  • Demonstrated experience as a speaker in a professional presentation environment, such as conferences and association meetings

  • Demonstrated experience managing the process of design, development, integration and or/ implementation of software products or facilities.

  • Experience developing and implementing benchmarks and metrics in support of improved quality and process design.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple projects teams, product development lifecycle, or quality lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated ability to inform and influence senior leadership, management and individuals in various parts of the organization to work towards successful outcomes.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience with Hospice or Home Health.

  • EPIC EHR experience.

  • Project Management Professional designation (PMI) Certification.

  • Masters degree in a related field.
