Providence is calling a Senior Director of Behavioral Health to Providence Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR.

We are seeking for a Senior Director of Behavioral Health who will be responsible for leading and managing the Health Plans Behavioral Health programs offered through Providence Health Plan. The Behavioral Health program responsibilities are broad ranging and include care management, utilization management, quality, and shared responsibility for behavioral health claims administration, customer service and network management .The Senior Director is responsible for assessing overall program performance and initiating process improvements to ensure the program and network are of high quality, and deliver timely access to care, including crisis support services. In addition to leading the behavioral health programs, this position is a key partner in PHP's strategic plan to integrate medical and behavioral health, and will collaborative with PHP leadership and PH&S leadership to define program components and assess resources needed to implement innovative models of care. The Senior Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for developing relationships with key leaders within Providence Ministries and Behavioral Health, and actively develop partnerships within the communities we serve.

In this position you will:

  • Lead the development of a co-sourced care model to improve the delivery of behavioral health care; improve behavioral health quality of care and access, and be financially sustainable.

  • Ensure behavioral health vendor performance meets service levels, key performance indicators, and regulatory compliance. Manage the vendor contracts for delegation.

  • Provide leadership in support of quality improvement: Medicare 5 Star, CCO, HEDIS and NCQA.

  • Develop, implement and evaluate performance metrics for behavioral health, new initiatives and services created.

  • Establish effective direct and matrix reporting relationships both internally with Behavioral Health and within other Providence ministries.

  • Assess need for new programs and services such as telehealth strategies.

  • Actively identify opportunities to improve processes and utilize technology to reduce cost, improve productivity, and increase service.

  • Continually build and foster strong cross-functional partnerships with operation teams, vendors and provider networks.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Masters degree in the behavioral health field of study, or health care administration, and a clinical behavioral health license.

  • Minimum seven to ten years of senior level management experience in health care, preferably leading, organizing and managing major clinical programs.

  • Experience in team facilitation, project management, and change management.

  • Demonstrated experience with physician relationships in a leadership position.

  • Experience in contracting, mediation and performance measurement.

  • Experience with clinical data, database management, data analysis and reporting.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Health Plan experience.
